Where can we see it in Lisbon?
There are black poplars at Almirante Reis Avenue or at Vale do Silêncio Woods where alongside the white poplars they represent the longest avenue of the city composed these two trees.
The male species’ catkins are grey and the stamens are red; the female ones are yellowish-greens.
Its medicinal properties come from its bark, which can be used for infusions against fever, rheumatic and bronchitis.
